KU Dining earns Silver Award from national collegiate dining organization
LAWRENCE — KU Dining is the recipient of the 2026 National Association of College & University Food Services Retail Sales: Single Concept of the Year Silver Award. This award was received in recognition of its outstanding dining concept at the University of Kansas, titled Blend.
Located in the Market on level three of the Kansas Union, Blend is a retail concept that primarily serves customizable salads, grain bowls and açai bowls. This recognition reflects Blend's innovation in offering unique menu items that appeal to a wide university community and the dedication to providing fresh, high-quality ingredients.
“We are honored to be recognized this year by NACUFS and are so proud of our incredible team here at KU Dining that made it all possible,” said Lindsay Robinson, director of KU Dining. “We knew we had something special with Blend when we opened an additional location at the Market back in fall 2024. Its many customizable menu items and outstanding customer service have made it one of the biggest highlights on campus.”
The NACUFS program acknowledges and celebrates institutions that demonstrate the upmost commitment to excellence in collegiate dining. The Silver Award places KU Dining among the nation’s leading campus dining programs.
