KU announces promotion and tenure for 146 faculty and researchers

LAWRENCE — Chancellor Douglas A. Girod has approved the promotion and award of tenure, where indicated, for 50 individuals at the University of Kansas Lawrence and Edwards campuses and 96 individuals at the KU Medical Center campuses. Promotions for tenure-track faculty and scholarly positions include review by the University Committee on Promotion and Tenure and final approval by the chancellor.

The promotions of instructional faculty, which are determined and awarded through separate school or departmental reviews, will be announced at a later date.

Girod, along with Arash Mafi, university chief academic officer, provost and executive vice chancellor; and Steve Stites, chief health sciences officer and executive vice chancellor at KU Medical Center, shared their joint regards.
